Introducing Master Levels Interns

Hannah Swarm, MSW Intern
(She, her, hers)

Hannah is currently enrolled in the Masters of Social Work program at The Ohio State University. Hannah attended Ohio University where she obtained her Bachelor’s degree in Political Science pre-law.

Hannah admires the beauty in the ability to grow. Our lived experiences do not have to determine our path forward- we can. Through individualized therapy, Hannah cultivates a space where clients feel safe to explore their needs and aspirations in a non-judgemental environment. Hannah believes that it is a privilege to be a part of someone’s therapeutic journey, and through a collaborative relationship will work to empower clients to meet their goals.

Kendra Hovey, MSW Intern
(She, her, hers)

Currently in her final year of the Masters of Social Work program at The Ohio State University, Kendra brings extensive experience in the non-profit sector working with people and communities impacted by the justice system. She is passionate about reframing therapy. Dispelling the myth that it is about what is “wrong,” Kendra believes therapy is about stepping into strengths and into clarity. She is particularly interested in depth psychology, somatic practices, and individual and cultural trauma. She practices with an awareness that trauma responses and coping mechanisms are not pathologies, rather they are the self’s powerful protective response to a threat.

She works with clients to better manage coping mechanisms that have become unhelpful and to develop new and helpful coping strategies. Kendra holds an advanced degree in Art Education from The Ohio State University and a BA in Philosophy from Occidental College.

Our fabulous masters level interns will be offering sessions at a discounted rate. Reach out to [email protected] for more information.
